Aims:

  1. Pakistan Ear Foundation‘s vision is to improve the quality of life of individuals suffering from hearing impairment within the country through the promotion of better ear and hearing aid
  1. Providing information and raising awareness of ear-care, deafness and hearing loss
  1. Campaigning and lobbying to change laws and government policies that pertain to the hearing impaired community
  1. Training courses in ear and hearing health care
  1. Training courses in Audiology and related sciences
  1. Hearing screening including neonatal hearing screening
  1. Development of communication services including AVT, Speech therapy, Sign Language and lip speakers
  1. Seeking improvement in the education of deaf and hearing impaired children and young adults
  1. Training of relevant professionals who are dealing with ear and hearing impairment issues
  1. To establish Pakistan Ear Foundation as a charitable organization in Pakistan
  1. There will soon be a Pakistan Ear Foundation website for the provision of information, exchange of material and advocacy of ear-related services
  1. The members of the Executive committee will be elected at the next meeting of Pakistan Ear Foundation according to the articles of association
  1. The importance of the collaboration with institutions and other NGOs is to translate different objectives and goals into common solutions and create a win-win situation
  1. The collaboration makes it possible to give Pakistan Ear Foundation more credibility in general and to provide it with a better position to negotiate with manufacturers and administrators at different levels
  1. Cooperation between Ear Foundation manufacturers and NGOs will be comparatively more convenient
  1. The strategic plan contains the long-term goals and the procedures to achieve these goals. A business plan will be formulated based on the strategic plan
  1. The work within Pakistan Ear Foundation should be evidence based. If there is no evidence available, research effort should be put into providing the necessary evidence to make rational decisions
  1. Building leadership at different levels
  1. Capacity building and development of infrastructure including human resources
  1. Monitoring and evaluation of work and projects
  1. Establish a purchasing consortium
  1. Establish a research network
  1. The work within Pakistan Ear Foundation should be transparent.
  1. The organization of the projects is in accordance with the goals of Pakistan Ear Foundation. Cost effectiveness using standardized methods should be addressed.
